Animaniacs Volume 3 is the third DVD release for the original Animaniacs series. It was first released on June 19, 2007 in North America, and has since been re-issued numerous times.

Synopsis

THIRD'S THE WORD FOR FUN
The Animaniacal Volume Three
Dot, Yakko, Wakko...uh-oh! Those rambunctious rascals of riot, those slaphappy siblings of silliness, those Warner wild-things of wackiness, those - well, you get the idea - are back (and they're bringing pals like Slappy the Squirrel with them) as they roar through 25 new-on-DVD episodes like someone poured habañero hot sauce on their brains. Back, too, is Animaniacs' ready-fire-aim sense of comedy. In Vol. 3's 5 discs, you'll find literary lampoons, political jabs, cultural sendups, movie parodies, zany songs and much more - all on target (and dead-on funny). Watch. Laugh out loud. Sing along if you must. Just don't blame us if the neighbors come knocking.

Trivia

  • Earlier prints of this set came in a jewel booklet-type case with two discs on each "page" (with the exception of disc 5, which had its own "page"). In most reissues since the late-2010s, the discs have instead come with altered art in more fragile, standard-type DVD cases.
  • The discs from this set were later repackaged and re-labeled for the Animaniacs: The Complete Series set in 2018.
  • A digital equivalent of this set (without the bonus features) can be found on outlets such as iTunes and Amazon Prime Video.
  • This is the only DVD set for the original Animaniacs to lack a traditional subtitle menu. Viewers instead must rely on their television or disc player's own built-in captioning systems.
  • This is the final original Animaniacs DVD to have a custom layout, as well as the final one to allow viewers to select segments individually. While 2013's volume 4 set retains custom picture menus, it mostly confines to WB's early-2010's "uniform" menu-layout, and prevents viewers from selecting segments individually.
    • This is also the final original Animaniacs series DVD to have new special features created for it (barring previews). They are, however, retained in the Complete Series set along with those from the first two volumes; as well as additional reissues of the individual volume sets.
  • The aspect ratio of the menus vary from the different displays viewers watch the discs on (for example, a 4:3 display such as a CRT TV would result in a 4:3 menu).
  • The title of the special feature They Can't Help It If They're Cute, They're Just Drawn That Way is a reference to a line spoken by Jessica Rabbit in the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit ("I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way.").
  • The "Totally Insaney" portion of the They're Totally Insaney: In Cadence with Richard Stone title is a reference to a line from the Animaniacs theme song.
