Brainie the Poo is a song from the Pinky and The Brain episode "The Megalomaniacal Adventures of Brainie the Poo" (the first segment of the show's fiftieth episode). The song plays intermittently throughout the segment.

Description[]

In a parody of Winnie the Pooh from the 1977 Disney movie The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Brain (called Brainie the Poo in this episode) walks across the words “Brainie’s Hom” while a whimsical chorus sings his name. Brainie the Poo angrily argues with the chorus, even correcting their grammatical mistakes, as he strolls along the text of the book, where most of the episode takes place.

After he falls to the ground, the song concludes and he sardonically points out the spelling mistake in the word “home” before the scene fades to black. The song was written by Julie Bernstein.

Lyrics[]

Chorus:
Brainie the Poo!
The Brain (Brainie the Poo):
Stop!
Chorus:
Brainie the Poo!
The Brain (Brainie the Poo):
Must you sing?
The Chorus:
Surly, often churly, he loves to grouse!
The Brain (Brainie the Poo):
The word is churlish!
Chorus:
Brainie the Poo!
The Brain (Brainie the Poo):
What is this "poo" business?
Chorus:
Brainie the Poo!
The Brain (Brainie the Poo)
[falls to the ground] Oof!
Chorus:
Power-crazed, embittered old mouse!
The Brain (Brainie the Poo):
(spoken) [gets up and points to the word ‘HOM’]
There’s an ‘e’ in ‘home’, you know.
