Cary Elwes

Ivan Simon Cary Elwes (born October 26, 1962), is an actor who is best known for his roles as Westley in The Princess Bride, Robin Hood in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Dr. Lawrence Gordon in the Saw series, and "Pistol" Pete Whipple in the Sonic the Hedgehog-related TV series Knuckles. Elwes has provided his talents for two episodes of the Pinky and the Brain series.

General

Elwes' portrayal of Jonas Miller, the aloof corporate storm chaser from the 1996 film Twister, was parodied in the Pinky and the Brain cartoon "Brain Storm" as Kale Mumphausen the "Twister King" (voiced by Jeff Bennett).
The film Elwes starred in, Robin Hood: Men in Tights has been referenced in the Animaniacs cartoon "Bully for Skippy," where Slappy assumes that Skippy's bad news is a sequel to this movie being made.
