Chuck Jones was one of the main Looney Tunes directors at Warner Bros. until 1962.
History[]
Chuck was parodied in Back in Style. After being laid off from Warner Bros., Friz Freleng brags to him about him having an idea for a cartoon while Jones does not, much to the latter's frustration.
Chuck is portrayed as having left Warner Bros. upon the cartoon studio's closure, but in reality, he was actually let go a year earlier due to violating his contract by working on the film Gay Pur-ee, which was produced by rival studio UPA (although WB would end up as the film's distributor).
