- "Don't worry, friend Pinky. Earth always be... around"
- — Earth
The Earth is the third planet from the Sun, and the main setting for most entries in the Animaniacs franchise. The Brain desires to conqueror it. On some occasions, the planet has gained sentience.
Appearance
The Earth is a blue planet filled with oceans and continents. Sometimes, clouds circulate around the planet and skyscrapers can be seen sticking out. When it becomes sentient in the 1995 Pinky and the Brain series, it talks in the form of a dirt pile with only a mouth and rock teeth. In the Animaniacs reboot, it gains a more "adorable" face that adorns the planet itself.
Personality
When sentient, Earth is usually portrayed in a kind, gentle manner, and speaks in the third-person. Despite this, Earth can be easily aggravated, as shown when he rebels against Brain's control and tries to destroy him.
History
Pinky and the Brain
When Brain's Oscillatron Linguafactor is accidentally activated on the ground, it brings the planet itself to life. Brain then uses this as an opportunity to boss the planet around like a pet, and he is able to successfully conquer the world at last with natural disasters to threaten citizens and produce natural resources to gain their allegiance. During this time, the Earth gains more independence and befriends Pinky. He would much rather play than help Brain boss the citizens of the world into submission, angering Brain. The mouse then threatens to use the Linguafactor to render Earth inarticulate once more, which angers the Earth and causes him to rebel by sealing the Linguafactor and trying to destroy Brain.
Later, Brain attempts to escape, but Earth catches on and tries to once more kill Brain with a puddle of tar. After seeing Pinky upset at the notion of Brain dying, Earth has a change-of-heart and spares the megalomaniacal mouse. He decides that he is better off un-sentient, and has Pinky take away his consciousness with the recovered Linguafactor. As he reverts to the ground, he says goodbye to a tearful Pinky, telling him that he will always be around. ("Say What, Earth")
Animaniacs (2020)
When Dot Warner turns the world cute, the planet comes to life with an "adorable" face and persona. The planet later reverts to its non-sentient, regular appearance when the Warner siblings undo the cutening process by "doing something gross" (licking a pigeon). ("The Cutening")
Appearances
As a location, Earth has appeared in nearly every Animaniacs production. This section only lists times where it was sentient.

Trivia
- In the Pinky and the Brain episode "It's Only a Paper World," Earth is apparently destroyed by an asteroid and replaced by Brain's identical "Chia Earth." Outside of a nightmare Brain has in "Brain Food" and a drawing on a board with other failed plans in "MasterClass 101: Meet Your Instructor," this incident is never acknowledged again, and all further appearances treat the planet as the original.
- The Earth has been destroyed and/or left ruined in multiple Animaniacs productions: "It's Only a Paper World," "Brain of the Future," "Fun, Time and Space," "Santamaniacs," "The Stickening," and "Everyday Safety: Giant Adirondack Chair."
