Trivia[]

  • The name of the segment is a pun on the phrase "Home Sweet Home".
  • This is the first of Nils Niedhart's appearances where he is not sent to Hell in the end.
  • A running gag in this cartoon is a smug fanboy nitpicks the different errors present (such as grammatical errors and time period discrepancies).
  • Nero of course; is mostly a parody of former US president Donald Trump. His voice however, is different.
    • "Hail to the Chief" plays in the background when Nero makes his speech.
  • This marks the first innuendo of the new Animaniacs reboot's second season.
  • At one point, Dot bodly yells to the audience "Are you not entertained?" This is a nod to a famous line spoken in the 2000 historical epic film Gladiator by Maximus Decimus Meridius (portrayed by Russel Crowe). She would later repeat this for episode 20's theme song variable verse.
  • Yakko puts an end to Nils Neidheart and his Conan the Barbarian-style gladiator fight with a DMCA-takedown notice from Universal legal department. Universal distributes the 1982 Conan film in North America.
  • A caricature of John Cena appears in this cartoon, and his entrance is a parody of his actual WWE entrances.
  • The "Gladiators of America" are a play on American Gladiators.

  • The "Backwards Gary" scenes were animated using Flash. [4]
  • The pawnshop seen in this segment, or at least a very similar store, would appear 2 episodes later in the cartoon "Rug of War."
    • The pawnshop security guard would also make an re-appearance in the cartoon "Run Pinky Run."

As soon as the game finishes loading in a dystopian future, Wakko (with an overgrown beard) gets an ad for another game, and starts the advertised game. Excited to play the new game, another loading screen appears; Wakko destroys his tablet and his head.

Crew[]

  • Written by Timothy Nash and Lucas Crandles
  • Directed by Brett Varon and Gabe Swarr [5]

Trivia[]

  • The game "Two Weeks" is a parody of Fortnite. A "fortnight" is also a term for a period of two weeks.
