Trivia[]

  • This is the first segment in the series in which Nora Rita Norita is referred to by name.
  • Wakko proposes a spin-off in this cartoon entitled Young Wakko, a parody of The Big Bang Theory prequel Young Sheldon.
  • When Wakko opens the hacked mail, the notice system sound from Windows Vista/7 can be heard.
  • When Wakko is hacked, he makes a reference to Ray-Ban sunglasses, a product known for being advertised on users' social media accounts after being hacked.
  • Dot's line "The power of two-step authentication compels you!" is a reference to a line spoken by priests Father Merrin and Father Damien in the 1973 film The Exorcist — "The power of Christ compels you!"
  • When the Warners play Ring Around the Rosie, the song of the same name plays.
  • Slappy Squirrel appears on a comic cover that falls out of Wakko.
    • The number that appears on the comic book reads "93", which is a reference to the year of when the original show first premiered.
  • This segment marks the fourth time one or more of the Warners have supposedly died, the first being Dot in Wakko's Wish, the second and third being Yakko in "WhoDonut" and "Fear and Laughter in Burbank."

Quotes[]

  • Dot What the H-E-pair of chopsticks?
  • Wakko: In all seriousness, folks, the internet can be a treacherous place. Be careful not to submit your personal information to third parties.
Yakko: Thank you, Wakko. In fact, there is only one website you can trust: www.dotwarnermalwarevirusspreaderidentitythefttrojanhorsebotcom.edy. (It's fake though, don't bother)

Plot[]

When the dynamic mouse duo goes missing, Nora showcases never-before-seen Pinky and the Brain pilots to pad-out the show, showcasing 4 decades of television history and the pilots' various faults. Much of the problems with these pilots are shown to be the result of Brain being difficult to work with.

Pinky and the Brain and Larry 2021

Larry's grand return

  • This is the first segment to be animated by Digital eMation.
  • The title of this cartoon is a spoof of Neil Simon's The Odd Couple,
  • Similarly to the "The Pinky and the Brain Reunion Special;" fictitious prototypes of the Pinky and the Brain series are shown.
    • Larry makes his grand return in a silent cameo during the Narfs parody segment; after his last appearance in said "Reunion Special" 23 years prior.
      • Coincidentally, he and Egwind, who is Larry's successor, both appear in this episode.
  • Each of the fake pilots use a VHS screen effect.
  • The "Please Stand By" card shown before The Brady Bunch parody is a reference to Test Card F, a famous BBC test pattern.
    • The first test card contains the first instance where Pinky's catchphrase "Troz" appears in the reboot. The phrase first debuted in the spin-off episode "Snowball".
  • One of the credits Brooklyn Rage in the Cheers parody is a reference to a running gag in YU-GI-OH! The Abridged Series.
  • This is the first appearance of Nora Rita Norita outside of a Yakko, Wakko, and Dot segment.
  • This is the first instance of the literal running gag involving Ralph chasing the Warners in other segments in the reboot.
  • According to Executive Producer Gabe Swarr, this cartoon was a last-minute addition to the season.[3]

Everyday Safety Title

Plot[]

The Warners do a PSA on safety rules. In traditional Warner fashion, the PSA takes a rather bizarre turn.

Trivia[]

  • This cartoon is a parody of educational safety PSAs, particularly those from the 80's and 90's.
    • The beginning and ending of this cartoon utilize a VHS visual effect as a nod to this.
  • Wakko's "Oh, the viscosity!" is a reference to a statement spoken by radio reporter Herbert Morrison during the Hindenburg disaster - "Oh, the humanity!"
  • This cartoon is later followed by "Everyday Safety: Giant Adirondack Chair" in season 3.
