Trivia[]
- Like the rest of Season 4, this episode is counted under "Season 3" on Hulu.
- In the beginning of the episode, the mice attempt to sabotage Tom Bodett's recording of the Animaniacs segment Good Idea, Bad Idea.
- The opening scene, where Pinky and Brain journey inside Tom Bodett's body, is one of several examples that have great influence from the 1966 science-fiction adventure film Fantastic Voyage.
- Pinky's "There's a human version of you?" line to Brain is later referenced in the Animaniacs reboot cartoon "Of Mice and Memes."
- Much of this episode takes cues from the 1967 British avant-garde social science fiction television series The Prisoner. The Village is spoofed in the form of The Land of Hats.
- The French markings on the painting in Brain's Land of Hats home, "c'est ne pas un chaipeau"; translates to "this is not a hat."
- The scream by the Land of Hats citizens is a reference to the scream from the 1978 film adaptation of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The same audio clip was even used.
- Before the preview for the second part of "Brainwashed" was shown, the ending chorus calls Pinky and the Brain "Pork Pie and the Fez" after their Land of Hats identities.
