Plot[]
Brain recovers from his amnesia, and he and Pinky finally escape from The Land of Hats. While trying to track-down who sent them there, they find that the "Schmeerskahoven" really is an evil song and dance from an unknown writer. Before they can research any further, Acme Labs is destroyed. The two continue their adventure to to bring down who is responsible for everything, but run into dead-ends. They track down Snowball for answers, but find even he is imprisoned.

Trivia[]
- When the evil Top Hat shows Brain the memories it has taken from him, freeze-frames emulating certain past Pinky and the Brain moments can be seen on its screen:
- Brain bopping Pinky on the head and grabbing his nose, as seen in various episodes.
- Brain nervously trying to explain to the Frunobulaxians that bopping Pinky is just him showing him a sign of "respect", under the guise of an Earth custom, as seen in "Where No Mouse Has Gone Before."
- Brain lunging at Pinky while holding back, as seen in "Puppet Rulers" and "Das Mouse."
- The "Microsponge Center for Psychiatric Research" where Snowball and Brain are imprisoned in takes cues from the prison asylum from The Silence of the Lambs. Brain is even trapped exactly like Hannibal Lecter, right down to the mask.
- A caricature of Jack Nicholson is seen imprisoned in the Center as a nod to his role as Randle Patrick "R.P." McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
- As shown in part 1, BAAB is an obvious parody of the Swedish pop group, ABBA. Addendum, two of their songs Brain mentioned are "Dancing King" and "Ferdinando", which are parodies of the ABBA songs "Dancing Queen" and "Template:Fernando (song)" respectively.
- Pinky laments that the Global Schmeerskahoven-a-thon will pre-empt an airing of brand spanking fresh and shiny new Doug. This spoofs how ABC marketed their retool of Doug as "Brand Spanking New!"
- After the ending chorus is heard, Pinky is heard saying, "Come on!" before cutting to the preview for the third and final part of Brainwashed.
Production Notes[]
- If Kids' WB! didn't air the Brainwashed three-parter earlier in the series episode listing, this episode was initially supposed to represent episode 63 in the Pinky and the Brain series.[1]
