- This cartoon parodies elements of spy-thrillers, including the James Bond series.
- The title is a pun on To Russia With Love.
- The design of James Bond-caricature "James Prond" is the same one used for "Municipal Bond" in the Animaniacs Bond parody cartoon, "From Burbank with Love." Both of course, are caricatures of Bond actor Roger Moore.
- The "Gun barrel sequence" is spoofed twice in this cartoon. Once during "The Mouse with the Giant Head," and another time during the ending chorus.
- The ending chorus is remixed to the tune of "The Mouse with the Giant Head."
