Cute First (Ask Questions Later)/Acquaintances/Here Comes Attila/Boo Wonder is the 93rd episode of the original Animaniacs, and is the 3rd episode of the show's 5th season. It originally premiered on October 11, 1997.
Snow White's magic mirror tells her that she is no longer the cutest one of all, so she decides to settle the score with Dot, who has taken her place as the cutest one of all.
This is the first Animaniacs cartoon to be animated by Koko. They previously got to try their hand at animating Wakko and the Brain in the Freakazoid episode entitled "The Freakazoid".
In some dubs of the parody intro, the "You'll laugh till you collapse" line is partially translated.
The narrator is a parody of Robin Leach, best known as the host of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
This episode uses a parody of the intro. The parody intro begins with the Warners jumping out of the water tower and singing their theme song while 2 dwarves kidnap Dot. The scene then cuts to Dr. Scratchansniff sitting in while watching a television; Yakko and Wakko appear in the room and tickle Scratchandsniff's feet, but then the director stops filming to tell them that Dot has been taken.
Some parts of the parodied intro are miscolored (such as Yakko and Wakko's gloves being yellow when they try to send Dr. Scratchansniff into hysterical laughter.)
Animaniacs - Intro From Cute First (Ask Questions Later) (Multilanguage)
In the middle of the cartoon, there is a parody of The Brady Bunch theme.
Also in the middle of this segment, this is the second time the "Kabong" sound from Hanna-Barbera's Quick Draw McGraw is heard twice (the first being One Flew Over the Cuckoo Clock, albeit only once) in a normal and low pitch when Dot "tunes" Phoebe's guitar.
This is the only Animaniacs-related production to be animated by PASI.
The French national song is heard when Wakko is dressed as Napoleon Bonaparte.
The Can-Can is heard when the Warner siblings do the dance of the same name.
At one point in the cartoon, the Warners peak through the window in the same manner they did in "The Big Candy Store."
Pesto and Bobby make a cameo when the Warners are kicked out of the their acquaintances' apartment for the final time.
When the acquaintances are locked out of their apartment, they don't know what to do next, but at one point, they suggest doing the same thing they always do, to which "Monica" asks, "Try to take over the world?", but Rachel corrects her when she says that's what Pinky and the Brain do.
Atilla's design in this cartoon is different from his appearance in "Valuable Lesson."
The final line of the song references the theme song to The Magilla Gorilla Show.
Although this short aired in 1997, John McCann had written the song three years earlier, in 1994.[1]
Boo Wonder
Animation by Koko Enterprises
Plot
Chicken Boo plays the sidekick of the Caped Crusader. The dynamic duo set out to take-down the villainous Punchline. Throughout their daring adventure, the Dark Knight battles allegation that his sidekick is in fact - a giant chicken.
While the Caped Crusader and the Boo Wonder are climbing up the building, Dot Warner makes a quick cameo greeting the duo from the window in the same way celebrities would in the 1960's series.
"Punchline" is an amalgamation of different kinds of Batman villain tropes found in characters such as the Joker and the Riddler.
The "Holy Drumsticks!" line is a reference to a running gag in the series quoted by Robin.
This is a reversal of other Chicken Boo cartoons. Usually, only one person knows that Chicken Boo is a giant chicken. Here, only one person (Spruce) thinks that Chicken Boo is not a chicken while everyone else knows that he is a giant chicken.
