Everybody Dubba! is a promotional song that ran on The WB during the 1997-1998 season, based off-of their "Dubba" slogan. This variation is predominantly themed around its Kids' WB! block, and features various characters related to the channel singing on a studio lot soundstage (especially those from Animaniacs and Looney Tunes).

Description[]

This musical promo features the stars of Kids WB gathering in a studio lot to join the rest of the channel for the "Falling Anvils" number. Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck ponder what it could mean, with Daffy proudly proclaiming that no anvils will "drop on this duck!" — until Michigan J. Frog drops an anvil on his head. The rest of the channel's stars, lead by Yakko Warner, come out and begin singing along while dodging anvils. The Brain is notably annoyed by the repeated shoutings of "dubba!" but just when he can voice his disappointment, an anvil falls on him. The only character seemingly unaffected by a falling anvil is Superman.

Trivia[]

  • Additional variations of the song exist featuring the cartoon characters in reduced (often silent) roles dancing along with other WB Network stars. There are also variations without any cartoon characters whatsoever.
  • As is the case with most WB/Kids WB! promos, nearly all of the animation featured is reused from other outlets. The animation of the Warners and the mice comes from various episodes of Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain (particularly those animated by Wang and Akom), while the Looney Tunes animation appears to come from Space Jam and episodes of The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries. The animation used for Michigan J. Frog, however, is a mix of older animation created for other WB promos and new animation created specifically for the "Everybody Dubba!" campaign.
  • According to Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain writer John P. McCann, a woman from Warner Bros. marketing informed him that the marketing representatives were ordered to answer phone calls with what McCann describes as a "tortured" modified version of the "Dubba Dubba Bee" slogan.[1]
