I Ate a Rock
"I Ate a Rock" is a song from the episode "Narf Over Troubled Water ." It is a parody of "I Am a Rock " as performed by Simon & Garfunkel .
Description [ ] After Brain 's computer comes up with a surefire popular tune so that he can get onto The Ed Sullivan Show Pinky go to an open mic night (one of Brain's nightmares) in order to start their career. Brain, however, left lyric writing to the last minute, so Pinky improvises lyrics for them to sing, basing it on the fact that just before their performance he had begun eating rocks under the assumption that they were crackers. The two of them form the band "Brain and Narfunkel" ("Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.")
The song indeed becomes a hit, but Brain becomes jealous of the attention Pinky is getting from their fans as the montage goes on, becoming more and more disgruntled at how Pinky is getting more attention than him, and how Pinky does not seem to be paying attention to him anymore.
