Karen and Kirby are the two children host characters for season 2 of The Cat & Bunny Warneroonie SuperLooney Big Cartoonie Show. They provide the show with wrap-around segments in-between the cartoons in most episodes of that season. Karen was voiced by Cheryl Chase, while Kirby was voiced by Richard Horvitz.
Trivia
- Animation-historian Jerry Beck and animator/author George Maestri were the creators of the characters, with Beck serving as the co-writer and co-producer of the segments.[1] [2] Additionally, Beck is also the husband of Cheryl Chase, Karen's voice actress.
- There were reports suggesting that Karen and Kirby had 13 interstitial segments produced, but at least 44 segments have surfaced as of August 17, 2023. It is speculated that those reports may have been alluding to 13 episodes featuring their segments.
- Karen and Kirby are rendered in a computer-animation style.
