"Little Drummer Warners" is a segment from the forty-ninth episode of Animaniacs and the first Christmas special. Several traditional Christmas carols are performed, with the special named after the finale, "The Little Drummer Boy;" some are left traditional and some have had lyric alterations.

Yakko, Wakko and Dot take the role of the shepherds from the Christmas myth, as well as Wakko taking the role of said Drummer Boy.

Lyrics[]

Silent Night[]

Chorus:
Silent Night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

We Three Kings I[]

Yakko, Wakko and Dot:
We three shepherds traveling far
How we wish that we had a car
We cannot sleep, cause with our sheep
We're following yonder star
Oh, oh...
Star of wonder, star of night
Star of royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy perfect light

O Little Town of Bethlehem[]

Chorus:
O little town of Bethlehem
How still we see thee lie
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by
Yet in they dark street shineth
The everlasting light
The hopes and fears of all the years
Are met in thee tonight

Away in a Manger[]

Away in a manger, no crib for His bed
The little lord Jesus lays down His sweet head
The stars in the sky look down where He lay
The little lord Jesus, asleep on the hay

We Three Kings II[]

Wise Men:
We three kings of Orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar
Field and fountain, moor and mountain
Following yonder star
Oh, oh...
Star of wonder, star of night
Star of royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy perfect light

The Little Drummer Boy[]

Wise Man #1:
Come, they told me, parum-pa-pum-pum
Wise Man #2:
Our newborn king to see, parum-pa-pum-pum
Wise Man #3:
Our finest gifts we bring, parum-pa-pum-pum
Wise Men:
To lay before the king, parum-pa-pum-pum
Rum-pa-pum-pum, rum-pa-pum-pum
So to honor Him, parum-pa-pum-pum
When we come
Yakko, Wakko and Dot:
Baby Jesus, parum-pa-pum-pum
We are just poor kids, too, parum-pa-pum-pum
We have no gift to bring, parum-pa-pum-pum
That's fit to give our king, parum-pa-pum-pum
Rum-pa-pum-pum, rum-pa-pum-pum
Wakko:
Shall I play for You, parum-pa-pum-pum?
On my drum?
[music takes a more jazzy feel than is traditional]
Yakko, Wakko and Dot:
Mary nodded, parum-pa-pum-pum
The ox and lamb kept time, parum-pa-pum-pum
We play our drum for Him, parum-pa-pum-pum
We play our best for Him, parum-pa-pum-pum
Rum-pa-pum-pum, rum-pa-pum-pum
Yakko:
So hit it!
[music takes on a non-traditional up-tempo swing beat]
Yakko, Wakko and Dot:
Come, they told me, parum-pa-pum-pum
Our newborn king to see, parum-pa-pum-pum
Our finest gifts we bring, parum-pa-pum-pum
To lay before the king, parum-pa-pum-pum
Rum-pa-pum-pum, rum-pa-pum-pum
So to honor Him, parum-pa-pum-pum
On my drum!
[music returns to traditional]
And He smiled at me, parum-pa-pum-pum
Me and my drum
