Neal Barnaby Sternecky (born on January 2, 1962) is an animator and storyboard artist who is known for his work on many animated productions. He is especially known for his work on Animaniacs, tie-in comic series, and the Pinky and the Brain spin-off series; performing many duties including storyboarding, animating, prop design, character design and more. Additionally, he worked at Startoons for most episodes of the original Animaniacs.

He most recently returned for the Animaniacs reboot's third and final season as a character designer and animator.[1]


  • One example of Neal's animated work can be found in the cartoon "Dot - The Macadamia Nut," during the "or just plain Dot..." sequence.
  • He animated the first six "Tales of Randy Beaman," establishing Colin's personality.
  • Neal was responsible for all of the animation of the elderly Veena Walleen, "Bumbie's Mom," save for the scene of her "flashback," which was animated by Jon McClenahan.
  • Neal also worked on 2021's Space Jam: A New Legacy, which featured cameo appearances by Yakko, Wakko, and Dot.
