Noah is a biblical figure who is known for his construction of the Ark to save the animals from the flood. His story is referenced in both the original Animaniacs and the reboot.

Appearance[]

In the original Animaniacs, Noah is a caricature of famous comedian Richard Lewis. He has black hair and purple bags under his eyes (a physical indicator of stress). In the Animaniacs comic book and the 2020 reboot, he looks much closer to his biblical appearance; an older man with long gray/white hair with a beard. In the comics, he wears a gray robe with a dark blue-gray hairband. In the reboot, he wears a green outfit with a reddish-brown hairband. Furthermore, his nose is rounder and he sounds much older with different mannerisms to match his altered design.

Personality[]

Across all his appearances, Noah is ready to help save as many animals as he can from the Great Flood. In the original Animaniacs; he is rather stressed and irritable at times, makes sarcastic comments at certain situations, and carries a fear of spiders (arachnophobia). In the comic book, he is extra determined to get anyone onto the Ark at all costs, taking his job very seriously. Later in the 2020 reboot, he is less-stressed but more impatient, being quick to leave the mythical creatures behind when the Ark gets too full.

Trivia[]

  • As previously noted above; Noah's look, speech and mannerisms in the original Animaniacs are a caricature of comedian Richard Lewis. In an interview with The Nostalgia Critic, the writers admitted that Lewis was jokingly critical towards this impersonation. His agent called the show's staff to say that while they had found the cartoon "very funny", they requested that the crew try not to steal all of his material next time.
