Phil Hartman

Philip Edward "Phil" Hartman (September 24, 1948 – May 28, 1998) was a Canadian-American comedian, actor, and screenwriter. He was best known as a recurring cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1986 to 1994, for portraying the character of Bill McNeal on NewsRadio, and for providing various voices on The Simpsons, including Troy McClure, Lionel Hutz, and more. On Animaniacs, he provided one of his distinct voices to the character of Slam Fondlesome in the episode "Broadcast Nuisance", although the character would later be renamed Dan Anchorman.
