From November-December 1997, a Pinky and the Brain promotional event was organized by Wendy's and Kids' WB!; featuring kids meal toys, VHS tapes, a sweepstakes contest, and giveaways.

Sweepstakes Event

For the sweepstakes event, fans were offered to guess what the Brain's first new world domination scheme for 1998 would be (the first new episode to air that year). There were four choices, each of which were then-unaired episodes:

The winner would receive various prizes. These included:

Contestants had to be between 5 and 12 years old.[1] [2]

The winner of the contest was scheduled to be revealed during The WB's 1997 New Year's Eve Bash (alternatively titled "The WB's Second Annual New Year's Eve Jam")[3] During the broadcast, the winner was revealed to be Angela Klein, who correctly guessed the second choice (stage a broadway musical).[4] The "Broadway Malady" episode aired a few days later on January 3.

Kids' Meal Toys

The Kids' Meal Toys, sold from November-December 1997, included:

  • A hypnotic spinner with the Brain
  • A Pinky and the Brain notepad and pencil
  • A Brain "compact" (ala Polly Pocket)
  • A tiny TV with a "secret" picture
  • A growth chart
  • A popping space capsule with tiny figurines of the mice inside.
