Tom Minton is an animation producer, writer, story editor and storyboard artist. The character of The Brain was modeled after Minton, and not Orson Welles as many believe. At Tiny Toon Adventures, Tom Ruegger's office was next to Tom Minton and writer/director Eddie Fitzgerald. Minton often spoke softly, while Fitzgerald often interjected with random phrases like "Narf!" and "Egad!" and Tom often imagined they were plotting to take over the world, thus Pinky and the Brain was born.
