  • The sign says, "Animaniacs - Guess Who's #1! New episode at 8pm". New episodes premiered at 4pm. This might be a reference to episode 48, which was a Thanksgiving Weekend episode, thus premiering on November 24, 1993 at 8:00pm.
  • This segment may be a "parody" of the 1946 cartoon starring Daffy Duck entitled Book Revue as well as other musical cartoons from the late '30s which featured book covers coming to life.
    • Daffy himself makes an appearance.
  • There's a poster for X-Toons (a parody of X-Men) outside the store.
  • On the Awakenings video, Robert De Niro references his other movie Taxi Driver.

  • When Yakko enters the Star Wars video, the Death Star appears as it appeared in A New Hope, but when it is shown up close, it's the second Death Star from Return of the Jedi.
